A Celebration of Our Future Leaders
Young Role Model Search
Ipoh, 16 May – The 24 finalists exuded poise and confidence as they confidently strutted down the runway, with Kimberly Ng emerging victorious and securing three titles along with RM1,000 in cash and prizes.
Hailing from Perak, the 10-year-old is a seasoned performer, having actively participated in various competitions both in and out of school, and earning several accolades in the process. Among her achievements are being crowned champion for the Malaysian Kids Got Talent Season 4 in 2020, the Perak School Sports Council Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament for ball, as well as numerous national and international dance competitions. Kimberly also received recognition for her academic excellence and was awarded Best Performing and Outstanding Student in her grade for the 2021/2022 academic year. In addition to her achievements, she holds the positions of School Prefect Representative for Standard 4 and President of the Badminton Club.
Kimberly at just 10 years old, proved herself to be a triple threat at the Ipoh Parade Mr & Ms Confident 2023 Competition. Not only did she take home the Ms Confident title for the 6 to 10 years old category, but she also earned the Popularity and Most Talented Awards.
Kimberly has this to say about her winning, “I believe that I deserve the title because I have a proven track record of achieving my goals and taking on new challenges with a positive and determined attitude. Whether it’s tackling a difficult task in school or pursuing a new hobby outside of my comfort zone, I always approach new experiences with a sense of confidence and optimism.”
Tania Qasandra Bt Abdullah, aged 13, was crowned Ms Confident in the 11 to 15 years old category. She draws her inspiration and encouragement from her family, which has a long standing tradition of being involved in pageantry.
“Being raised in a family that has been involved in pageantry, I’ve come to recognise that talent runs in my blood. I’ve always enjoyed participating in various talent and sports competitions, and I’m proud to say that I can speak three languages fluently – Malay, English, and Chinese. My aunt once told me that confidence is the key to success, and I truly believe that. That’s why I’m excited to embark on my journey as a contestant in the Ipoh Parade Ms & Mr Confident 2023. Through this experience, I hope to inspire others to realise that with confidence, anything is possible.” Says Tania who also won the Popularity Award at the competition.
